 creates a
new strain of doom, that, drawing heavily from atmospheric goth metal, infuses
adrenaline-charged beats and eerie electronic textures. The result charts new
dark musical territory while retaining accessible hooks. Those that may expect
another EBM industrial act will be greatly disappointed. Perdition brings
coldwave / goth back to the forefront - a force now severely lacking in the
scene. The smooth mix of masterful electronic programming with aggressive
guitars and crunching bass are a refreshing change from today's frigid world of
purely computerized industrial. Ultimately, they produce an onslaught of sonic
intensity that few can match.

 is a spellbinding
hybridization of magical, eighties induced electronica and dark, contemporary
song-writing. Diseased and aggressive guitar sounds are fused with the elegance
of euphoric melody to create a sound of epic grandeur.

 was formed
in September of 1999, when Dan Rivais and Brennan Heath met in their first year
of university. The two went on to form the core of the band, and in August 2001
recruited vocalist Lisa Mior, drummer Trev, guitarist Cosmo Costas. With drawn
influences from all across the music spectrum, C(X) uses dark guitars blended
with tranquil melodies to create their sound. Add in the occasional groove of
trip hop, and the pure grind of industrial noise for refinement, and C(X) has
an innovative style that is their own. Their fresh approach to alternative
metal makes them a unique entity in the Toronto music scene.

with host bOLT I am a lover of all
Industrial/Electronic music. I started out in this scene in the early 90's at
Catch 22. As recently as last summer, started my own gigs at the Vatikan on
Saturday's. I want to do my part to help this scene thrive and flourish for
generations to come. Ever evolving and loving it. :) "cry 'havoc' and let
slip the dogs of war..."
& dj th'elf I've been around the scene since the 80's, hanging at
clubs like the original Sanctuary and Death in the Underground... and others
that have passed into merely being names. Primarily DJed special events,
conventions and other 'mobile friendly' functions for a lot of years, with the
occasional guest appearance now and again. A major music addict, I finally
settled down to a few clubs in Ottawa before moving to Kitchener and starting
"Devolution Wednesdays" at Club Renaissance.~ I still do guest spots
all over, from NYC to Cleveland to Toronto to where-ever. For me, it's all
about the fun... playing the crowd and packing the dancefloor. Mixing the old
and the new. And just offering [and having] a darned good time.
